Manoj Kumar
"I am a Senior Orthotist with over 13 years of experience as a Prosthetist and Orthotist across India and New Zealand.
For the past three years, I have been working in New Zealand, managing a diverse and often complex clinical caseload - no two days are ever the same.
My clinical passion lies in lower limb orthotics, especially KAFOs, along with a strong interest in paediatric care. I also work with long-term deformities, children with special needs, and diabetic patients requiring custom orthotic insoles. My experience also extends to upper limb and spinal orthotic management.
I enjoy the problem-solving side of orthotics - finding practical, patient-specific solutions that genuinely improve mobility, comfort, and independence. I value working closely with patients and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.
I am always keen to keep learning, exploring new ideas, and embracing advances in orthotic technology to improve patient care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and recharging - because even orthotists need to switch off their “alignment mode” sometimes."
